Dr. Lefkowitz published an article on the Times of Israel, discussing the difficulty of keeping the peace between you and your spouse when your children are misbehaving and you have conflicting parenting styles. He writes,
Being blamed, or blaming your spouse for your children’s behavior can cause resentment and anger, and doesn’t help your children behave any better. When your kids are running wild […], and you and your spouse are giving them different commands, it not only confuses your kids but can also cause a painful rift between the two of you.
If you and your spouse didn’t discuss how you want to raise your children previously, you may only find out later when you have children, just how much your parenting styles differ and how much confusion, anger, and hurt the disconnection can lead to on both sides.
